Hi,
First of all you should install it higher that can help to raise the range. Then you should turn your Sbrick, make sure that the top of the SBrick is faceing at you and the higher side should be on the left side. The water has better range than the ground because of its electrical parameters. But the quality of the communication could be tricky because of these unique parameters. Here is a good source that explains it well: https://bluegiga.zendesk.com/attachments/token/dhSzk93MpGFS6Pc9fn26drlrL/?name=BLE_Range_Comparison.pdf
Hope I could help,if you have any question write us!

Hi all,
I'm plan to use an Sbrick to control a non lego boat (Tamiya 1/35 Vosper MTB), but powered by two LEGO MF motors and Lego based drive /props. What ways do people use to maximise communication range?
Would mast mounting the brick say half a meter above ground /pond level help?
Which OS devices get best performance?
Thanks
