Nice idea, just add one more layer with height of 1 lego tile and you will have nice tracking for all wires and stable contatct.
I was thinking about rotation of top sockets (A and C, as I remeber) on 180 degress to aviod the same sitiation with gap and tiles and also provide posibility to use stacks of wire connectors. Currently B and D sockets sould fit only one connector at once due to heigh limitation. There is a lot of pro and contra for it, so I guees that T P's idea is really better.
