    What phone model and Android version you're running? Did you activate location on your phone before searching for SBricks? Yes that's stupid, but Android requires location access to be able to search for Bluetooth (at least BT LE) devices.

    Indeed! You could also make it a "control" to be insertable in the Profile Designer, which would display this telemetry data.

    However, I couldn't find in it any way to use a gamepad. Also, it kept crashing on startup, trying to download an HTML file, both offline and connected through mobile data; only with Wi-Fi it managed to download what it needed and doesn't need Internet again. Also also, the only way to exit the app is still to tap Android's Home button and then remove it form the recent apps list.

      I was also able to control my SBrick using a gamepad, but instead of a laptop running a Python script, I used a phone (later a tablet) running this app: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/120823-wip-control-sbrick-with-android-game-controller

    Last week NVidia published the official update to Android 7 for the Shield K1, and now it works fine with my SBricks. :) So, it was a matter of incompatibility with Android 6; probably this affects other devices with this version.

    I'm expecting an update to 7.0 for the Shield, and I'll see if that fixes the issue.

Here are three exit methods I've seen implemented in other apps; one of them could be used in future versions of the SBrick app:

    Normal "Back" button, like the SBrick Simple Control app;
    Press "Back" twice in a quick sucession (making a popup appear saying "Press Back again to exit") upon the first button press;
    Hold down the "Back" button.

    Unfortunately, this new version still can't detect any SBricks when running on my Shield Tablet K1; on the Xperia Z1 Compact it still works.  less

It should be especially interesting to me, as the previous beta version (whose APK link was published in this topic) works fine with my Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (Android 5.1.1), but my NVidia SHIELD Tablet K1 (Android 6.0.1) can't recognise that there's an SBrick connected.

    I'm having mixed results with my devices.
    My Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (Android 5.1.1) used to work well with the latest versions of SBrick FW and app from the Store, but lately the app could detect the SBrick but, when opening its test page, it kept giving me the spinning circles. The Simple Control app worked similarly: the SBrick was detected, but the test sliders did nothing and the status bar remained dark green. Now, having installed the 4.2.0.76_2.136.16-r beta, it now works and I was able to update the FW.
    With my Nvidia SHIELD Tablet K1 (Android 6.0.1), it's another story: neither the full app (even the beta) nor Simple Control detect my SBrick. It is visible on the Bluetooth Settings screen, but nowhere else.
    Also, I found that one of the bottom contacts (in the middle foreground on the below photo) of my SBrick (bought at Tomar BRInCKa 2015 in Portugal) looks recessed and probably doesn't touch the respective contact on the cable connected to it. Fortunately this contact appears to be one...    less

    Alexandre Campos I wonder... will the SBrick work with the 9V train controller (using, of course, a PF converter cable)? That's really useful for stationary models. For example, the IR receiver needs an empty PF battery box to work.

      Alexandre Campos Cool! But, for testing purposes, any 9V battery box will do: electrically there's no difference (besides the fact that the train controller can supply less than the nominal voltage).
