SBrick Plugin for Scratch - How To

Using SBrick with Scratch on Windows 10

 

Download the SBrick Scratch Plugin form here: http://sbrick.dewsys.com/windriver/install/install.php

Supported browsers:

  • Chrome, Firefox or Opera.

If the SBrick Scratch Plugin is successfully installed on your PC, turn on your SBrick powered model and follow the follow the following instructions:

1. Right Click on the SBrick icon.






2. Select the SBrick Scratch button.

 

3. Create a Scratch File.

 

You need to setup the SBrick’s ports. You can add new ports with the “+” button in the right top corner. You must to add a short name to every port (this name will be visible in the Scratch)

Don’t forget to select the correct port type! If you use a standard LEGO Technic Power Functions motor or LED select the “power” type. If you use sensors you need to select the “Movement” or “Tilt” type.

If everything setted up correctly use the “save scratch file” button at the bottom of the window.

 

4. Save the Scratch file.

 

 

5. Upload the SBrick Scratch file to Scratch.


  • Open your Chrome, Firefox or Opera broswer.

  • Go to https://scratch.mit.edu/

  • Create a new project.

  • Click the “File” in the menu bar and select the “Upload from your computer”

6. Open your SBrick Scratch file.

 

 

7. Let’s create some awesome stuff!



You’ll find blocks necessary to control SBrick under “More Blocks”.

The green circle on the right of the “SBrick” label means that Scratch is connected.
