When do you think this function will be implemented...  This is probably the only thing I'm eagerly anticipating.    P.S.  when this functions in implemented does it require only phones with the same OS or will an iOS and Android be able to talk to the same brick at the same time.

I was hoping to implement these in our district robotics program, but I'm the only one who can make purchases without using a Purchase Order agreement.   less

P.S.  When is the next push for a windows update?   I would love to design my own controller.

    2 Phones Paired to 1 brick ?
I know that thier goal is to actually allow this, but i've yet to find out if it can.  I know for a fact that i can't pair a windows phone plus apple phone at the same time.

Brian Hopkins → David Haja: Quick Request for Windows App.  Is it possible for you to make a profile exactly like the two joystick profile but make it return to center on its own.   It would be greatly appreciated.

    • Ethan Heffernan likes this.
    • Brian Hopkins
Ethan Heffernan this is a good idea and it is difficult in some models to make physical return to center mechanisms

David Haja Done. You can find in the profile list called Two Joystick II.

Brian Hopkins Thank You !!! Its been a long wait, but I feel like I can finally use my brick for the first time.

Now for figuring out if I can hook up two phones to one Sbrick.

Brian Hopkins How's the windows app progressing?   IN all the time I've played with it. I've never lost connection.  The thing is rock solid.   It just needs to have the kinks ironed out.   Will we actually see a release on March 6th or will we get pushed back again.   I really want to buy into the Sbrick and hopefully write grants to purchase a 2 dozen or so, but the lack of solid windows app is holding me back.  Windows BLE still seems to have the cheapest buy in price.

Lénárd Pásztor we are not finished the next development round with the Windows Phone app. The next release scheduled to 6th march.

Brian Hopkins Well that's extremely frustrating. Is it possible to update the app so that we can at least invert the motors. Its the only thing that makes the current app hard to manipulate.

Lénárd Pásztor OK, I think we can do it on monday.

Brian Hopkins One other odd tidbit that I find interesting. The Port tester will spin the motors at full speed. When you flip to the actual controls. The motors speed drops its very odd. Besides that. The thing works flawlessly.

Jorge Pereira You are right.. I'm using right now one of my SBricks with LEGO PF Lights, tried several Duty Cycles and heard nothing but with a PF M Motor I can hear a high frequency noise with low duty cycles (when the M Motor doesn't spin).

It also happens with XL and L motor, with the XL motor is almost un-noticed. I think is still related to the link above as it only happens with motors, not with LEDs - with low Duty Cycles, internal capacitors charge and discharge pretty fast to the motor but not to the LED, the LED maximum current is ~2 mA.
Vengit also had a initial problem with the M motor because it use very high protection capacitors.  less

Brian Hopkins I wonder if they can zero out some of the buzz by raising the minimum speed of motors. Could be changed in the APP.

Jorge Pereira They can set a predefined threshold value but it changes from motor to motor (some 9V motors I've used don't even have a threshold) and it can also be different between motors of the some kind. So its difficult to preset a common value, should be left to the user.

Technicmaster0 . It depends as well on the load of the motor. As that it's probably impossible to find out whether the motor is still "blocked" or not.

    Passcode for Connection
I just want a passcode implemented into the Sbrick.  I find it odd that anyone can just sink with the sbrick.   Not that it would happen, but anyone during a tournament could sink with your brick and cause havoc.

Brian Hopkins Is it possible to place a passcode on Sbricks?  It would make it so much easier to keep things secure when running multiple bricks during tournament situations.

Lénárd Pásztor Yes, absolutely. It is already implemented in the SBrick firmware, but the app not supports it (yet).

Either way.  Its your app.  You have the right to do with it as your please.

Brian Hopkins → Likol Lee: Any chance you will post this on Windows Store.  I know its basic, but to be honest.  That's all I would like.  The current release date is  2/6 for the beta version.    I don't care.  Basic is fine with me.   I just want to actually use my 60 dollar paper weight.
