IMO one of the next bug fixing tasks should be the correct rendering of profiles.
    - Circles instead of ovals
    - Objects in the correct places
    - Handling of controls rotation
    - Joysticks not prodrucing gosth images

Don't know whether it helps or not, but I remember that after experiencing the same fw upgrade problem for several days I finally succeeded. At that time I tried to git it a longer time between switching smartphone BT off and on again. Waited something like 1 min.
Give it a try and tell us. At least I could have a confirmation if it was it or not.

Like Frederic I also found that 1-function/2-ports only working when the 2 ports used are from different bricks. A very good progress anyway.
App didn't crash oftenly, although I didn't played as much as before.  Still crashes with profiles that seem somehow corrupted resulting from problems previously described.

Some of the previous problems still present:
    - Bad memory handling of the state from last profile downloaded via market.
    - LED Id function still misbehaving with alternate messages on screen not suitable anymore.
    - Still can't rename bricks (although it seems a not yet implemented feature).
    - Joystick, toggle and close button circles, still shown as ovals and at least in some cases also misplaced.

Didn't play with multiple custom profiles downloaded and rotated controls, as I believe the same errors persist given the other and more fundamental errors...    less

    1) Realize from the image below, there is a button instance, although it does not appear in the layers list.

    2) Altough other parameters/controls seem to work fine, changing the joystick dimensions causes a total interface collapse (see image below). After this point it is not possible to save the profile anymore. It enters into an endless loop. We can return to the home screen, but loosing the changes made.

    Hi,

I think to have found possible root causes for some important errors I've been facing for some time.
I'm using Android App, and don't know whether these also happen for iOS.

People including myself, has been complaining of multiple instances of the Profiles, when it comes to add a Profile to one Creation.
I've found thios always happen if one changes a Profile, but do not unload it from the Market (in the App). So what I started to do is to remove the Profile from my Creation and then Unload it. Then change the Profile, Download it again and re-assign to the Creation. Then it works!!I think you should solve this at the App side, as it is very inconvenient.
I'm not sure anymore, but I think the App always chashes if there are multiple instances of the same Profile (resulting from the issue above), when on tries to launch a Creation.Solving the first problem should eliminate this anyway.
Eventually this problem is also related with so many functions appearing to assign to SBrick ports,...    less

Don't know whether it happened because fw v4.2 was finally made available in the right place or because I gave it sometime between setting my phone BT on and off.

Then I found also a small bug or a feature yet to update.
LED ID function seems to have been changed in the latest fw version. Now it just blinks for a couple seconds and then LED remains on.
Hence the the app behaviour which alternates with on and off commands is not adequate anymore. The messages on screen are misleading and it works only every two touch actions. :)
Also can't find where to look for SBrick info like HW and FW versions, but guess this is not yet implemented into Android app version.
