"SBrick can also draw power from the control lines, so it can be powered by tran/old power supplies" Would that mean if SBrick can connect wirelessly to the computer USB it means we may not need onboard battery because currently the WeDo motor draw power from the computer USB port?

The Lego WeDo uses the Lego Power Function motor and a wired USB connection to the desktop loaded with Lego WeDo software or the MIT Scratch software. The WeDo hub need to be connected to the computer with a wire to the computer USB hub.
Will Sbrick work with Lego WeDo? Anyone working on this or anyone have any information on how this may be achieved?

Seeing that there are zero contest at the moment thought I would do my part and offered a "grand" prize of a model of the Petronas Twin Towers (I am no Bill Gates), but in above thread, asked perhaps Lego can up the prize or offer development.

Maybe with encouragement may try other ways to get Lego attention.  less

Anyone here using Lego WeDo? Is there any group for those working with Lego WeDo? I have so far purchased 3 sets, the basic and the resource set because 2 is for my 2 daughters' kids while the other one is for me to work on.
I don't know yet exactly how the SBrick works. I see the SBrick is the the Lego WeDo hub with two connections. With WeDo, one connection is normally connected to a motor and the other is connection to the computer USB hub.
Can these be connected wireless be connected to the computer instead? If yes, I may be interested in pre-ordering one to test.
Also, if we preorder 1, when will be be able to get it? I live in Malaysia.
BTW this is my blog to try guide my grandchildren and perhaps other kids via the Internet:http://robotics4children.blogspot.com/
