Tab 4 - Profile assignment to creation does not stick, impossible to configure SBrick to specific features of the profile.
S 5 - Attempting to discover SBricks crashes the app reliably.

Attempting to add a brick to the profile (which causes the app to look for SBricks) crashes the app every time. Version 0.6 worked better.

Create a radiobutton style control that sends a preset amount of power for a preset duration to a given port. Useful for things like pneumatic switch engines or stepwise geartrains. Each radio button option would have its own power, direction, and duration seting. The exact number of buttons in the radiobutton set would be user-determined.

    Changes to the designer

Selecting a control on the designer surface should select the control from the object menu at left, and should automatically expose its property windows for editing.
Hovering over a control resource should preview the resource on the designer surface, on the control...    less

App crashes if you click on buttons that launch dialogs too quickly or too often when they do not respond to the initial press.
I have created my own profile that uses a gamepad controller and a slider. Only the slider works, no matter which ports are assigned to the SBrick.
App crashes often during use.  less

I just discovered the online profile builder tool, and it is a great start!

I would love to see drag & drop controls of the following types:
    - Steering wheel
    - Unidirectional slider (0-100% no option to reverse direction of the motor)
    - three-way switch (100%, off, -100%) with "sticky" positions to drive things like pneumatics. Perhaps the ability to set the throttle for the switch?
    - button that requires you to hold it down to run, perhaps with the ability to set the throttle & direction?
    - drag & drop accelerometer controls to allow you to assign tilt to steering, for example?

Keep up with the innovations!  less

    Port testers work.
Profiles can be downloaded from the market.
    Brick can be paired.
No profiles work with the paired brick, varied bugs similar to those already reported - gyros don't work, some motors/ports don't register.
Shrill sound appears to be motor braking when sliders are in the "off" position, but not actually off. Recommend adding a "dead zone" to all self-centering controls where the motor is physically off to improve battery life.
Product is essentially unusable at this point.
When is there expected to be a profile building tool?  less

Fernando Correia You should look for the tracking information at your national courier.

In my case I've found the info at CTT (The Portuguese Post company).

Rick Cabral I can definitely see using SBrick to bridge the gap between NXT and power functions. I've seen other folks talking about using BT 4, will it (the SBrick) work with Bluetooth 2.x? (which is what the NXT 2.0 uses)

Jorge Pereira SBrick uses a specific new part of BT 4.0 specs, Bluetooth Low Energy.
NXT will need some kind of gateway and also some kind of drivers.

Not easy but it's possible to use something like leJOS or ROBOTC in NXT to talk to another device (like a laptop, Raspberry Pi, EV3... perhaps even Arduino?) acting as gateway. In this scenario, NXT doesn't need to use BT, it could use USB. IR or even Wi-Fi.
Much more easy and already being used: infra-red between the NXT and Power Functions or custom adaptors like Mindsensors Glidewheel.  less

Technicmaster0 . You could probably use an Arduino with an Bluetooth 4.0 controller as bridge. Both can be connected using I2C. Maybe you can use a phone with bluetooth as a gateway.

But that's not very practical and as Jorge Pereira said and it's better to use a sensor made for the communication with IR receivers. Personally I can suggest you the HiTechnic IR Link for that purpose.

But it is possible for the developers to extend it so if there is enough requests they might add it to the roadmap. But for version 1.0 they ought to focus on SBrick only.
It's also possible to write a program so that an EV3 (not a NXT) using a BT4.0 USB dongle will behave as an SBrick and listen to the BLE commands sent from «the app». I this scenario, there is no need th change anything from «the app» side. But I don't see much use for this, unless somenone creates a Mindstorms EV3 model similar to a Technic model and wants to use an Sbrick profile for controlling it.  less
