For all advanced lego user we know that lego battery boxes are an huge limitation, first of all for these characteristics:- 9V max voltage- 250mah current limiter (new AA battery boxes have a better one but sometime it's not enough)- excessive weight, both AA and AAA battery boxes have and high weight from the alkaline/nimh batteries- super expensive lipo version, with old current limiter and not technic friendly size, and still 7.4Vjust for the sake of experimenting i modified an old broken 9V connector to use a 7.4V 180mah lipo battery

this battery comes at a price of 4€ each to the public...    less

hi guys, just wanted to ask if there is a way to implement a "brake" on the profile designer, i'm using this setup:

a car has a "Driving" channel linked to the motor port
a slider called forward controls driving, starts at 0 and end at 1
another slider called backward controls driving, starts at 0 and end at -1

i have to do this to control the motor via R2/L2 on a gamepad, i have to disable auto brake in order to let the car roll when i release the accelerator, but then i lose all the options to brake, i now added a button that controls driving and has an output of 0.5, but that's just half-backward so if i'm going backwards it won't brake, and on top of that i won't overwrite the other channels so i have to release them fully before braking, maybe adding a check to change a button to "channel brake" and it will overwrite any input to the channel to go on the brake mode (i know controller have different modes for coast or brake idle) that could be useful as a safe stop...    less

one of the most difficult things to do with lego remotes is to control tracks with a joystick.like remote, i think that joysticks in the profile editor should have a setting to "allow skid steer" so they work mixing channel, full up means channel left and right (not called steering and accelerator) full forward; top right means left channel full forward and full right means left channel full forward and right channel full backward

There are commercial LiPo batteries with overcurrent protection, you just need to choose the right one, cut the cable and solder a LEGO PF plug instead (my stress teste were made with a plane R/C battery, just 1500 mAh capacity but 37.5A maximum current... the SBrick worked fine up to 5.8Am then internal protection cut off power to the motors).  less

in the topic possibility of a vengit-made battery? in the forum Suggestions
Disclaimer, i only own an sbrick, not a buwizz, and this post is about batteries, even if i talk about buwizz as an incentive to vengit to make a moveSo here the main issue: in the challenge buwizz VS sbrick there is one big difference: ludicrous mode and full space required (battery box + sbrick is a lot bigger than a buwizz), both caused by the use of an internal 3s lipo battery from the buwizz receiver. For all advanced lego user we know that lego battery boxes are an huge limitation, first of all for these characteristics:- 9V max voltage- 250mah current limiter (new AA battery boxes have a better one but sometime it's not enough)- excessive weight, both AA and AAA battery boxes have and high weight from the alkaline/nimh batteries- super expensive lipo version, with old current limiter and not technic friendly size, and still 7.4Vjust for the sake of experimenting i modified an old broken 9V connector to use a 7.4V 180mah lipo battery this battery comes at a price of 4€ each to the public (even if batches are always at discount on hobbywing and cost 4€ 5pcs), it was able to support a buggy motor and a servo motor for almost 10minutes of driving, even on rough terrain.all this to suggest vengit one good move: a custom rechargeable battery box, that should be very compact, under the 50€ price-tag, with usb recharge and PF compatible port (the lego one is currently 140€, discontinued from the official lego and needs an external charger)i know nothing about industrial production, but this is basically a power bank for lego, and could sell also to non-sbrick user due to the huge advantage that it provides and the reliability of the vengit mark. in addition to this it will also fill the gap between buwizz and sbrick where the latter is currently ahead only for the awesome support and easy control customization (lacking the all-in one solution and bonus power from buwizz)

I think that before making a full studless edition (impossible to fit into trains or studded static mocs) vengit should find a way to fit all The lego wire end, The one that power The sbrick, into The case, lowering also the connector hole so The bottom of the sbrick Will look The same of The IR receiver

Balint Mezei said: Hi! Our developers checking the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for the report. Please try to restart your phone maybe it will solve the problem. After every FW update you should restart it. Regards, Balint Mezei - SBrick Team from the 1.6.1 ap i saw that the hardwere is the 4.3 and the softwere the 4.3, it works but not really good (the profile joystick look a little bit oval and button output values seems not to work) but when i download the newer app and i click on "sbricks" it does not show mine also if it is paired and works with the older one before (i have disistalled it). now i'm trying with my ipod 5th gen     EDIT with the 3.13 build 509 app on my ipod all works great, i think the problem is in the in-app pairing method of the android version This post was edited by Paolo DGZ at March 16, 2016 5:32 PM CET

That could appear a way To solve The problem, but the joystick travel on a square area and to rotate it result in having some deadpoints At the angle and so At full forward and backward because is difficult To drive and To remember to keep the finger on the joystick area. That skid steer option maybe isn't mandatory, but after it will better the control experience

i think that there is an important features to add: -SKID STEER JOYSTICK explaining my idea: one of the most difficult things to do with lego remotes is to control tracks with a joystick.like remote, i think that joysticks in the profile editor should have a setting to "allow skid steer" so they work mixing channel, full up means channel left and right (not called steering and accelerator) full forward; top right means left channel full forward and full right means left channel full forward and right channel full backward this could be really useful to control tracked veichle with one finger
