Please add a "Play Sound" control to the profile designer. The sound would play on the device running the SBrick app. This seems like a simple capability to add to the profile designer.
The benefit it would give is that the device running the app could also be connected to an external Bluetooth speaker, which is where the sound would actually be played. Therefore a (mini) Bluetooth speaker could be placed in a model and play the appropriate sound(s) selected from within the SBrick app.
Adding this capability to the Profile Designer would provide a simple means to enhance SBrick's functionality without requiring any change to the SBrick hardware.

The brick was paired to an older version of the app before.
When i turn the power on, the green LED of the sbrick flashes one time.
I've tried to do the update with the SBrick Simple Control app. But there the sbrick is not even recognized.
What can I do? Is my brick defective?

While I'm not 100% sure that your situation is the same as mine was, you may want to try the steps suggested in the thread https://social.sbrick.com/forums/topic/367/firmware-upgrade-from-version-4-0-to-4-12. I like your buttons on the left that group similar functions. Engines, track, structures, etc
Were you planning to run the app on a cell phone or a tablet?
I can see having larger buttons/controls on a cell phone but personally I would like the option to be able to scale the controls to fit my needs.

I hadn't got that far - my idea was simply to storyboard it as a concept. I would agree that the buttons/controls would need to be scalable, according to an individual user's desire. On a cell phone you are less likely to want to use up the screen's real estate with large buttons.

Earlier on I mocked up a train control interface (refer to the profile discussion https://social.sbrick.com/groups/topic/view/group_id/5/topic_id/2 which contains links to 2 interactive prototypes) and your suggestions appear to cover the kind of functionality that would be required to implement the interface from the mock-up.
Perhaps watch the embedded video in the discussion thread to see if you are able to say "yup, my idea covers that"?

I'm wondering whether there is a need for a "tabbed" interface given the potential for multiple concurrent trains/switch operations. Borrowing from the images of the train interface, something along these lines:

    #1 - a track layout tab

The layout tab allows numbered points but only one active point at a time. The active point is shown visually and the switch icon changes to left or right accordingly.

    #2 - a tab per train

Not sure if I can add a second photo to this post. If not, I'll add the second photo as a separate post.

Generally SBrick app must run on Android 4.3+ and iOS 7.0+ devices which has Bluetooth 4.0 radio on it. The following list(s) is based on our customer's feedback about our own devices. The SBrick application is still alpha, so you can find bugs and deffects easily. If the app can see the SBric...

The resolution described in the thread is specific to Android. A similar resolution may exist for iOS but I cannot confirm that.
