I would love to see drag & drop controls of the following types:
- Steering wheel
- Unidirectional slider (0-100% no option to reverse direction of the motor)
- three-way switch (100%, off, -100%) with "sticky" positions to drive things like pneumatics. Perhaps the ability to set the throttle for the switch?
- button that requires you to hold it down to run, perhaps with the ability to set the throttle & direction?
- drag & drop accelerometer controls to allow you to assign tilt to steering, for example?
Jan Tielenburg: The profile market library on a iPhone is different from the library on a iPad, on the iPad are more profiles you can select. Can anyone explain the difference, is the app for the iPhone different than the one for the iPad?
Ian Meek: Are there any good 8 channel (2 sbrick) profiles? Thanks

Is anyone interested in helping to developa Profile for this ? There will need to be some trignometry involved in order to get all four wheels working together correctly. It should be faster than a traditional 4wd vehicl ebut not as strong. Is there a noobs tutorial for Profile development ?
I am looking for a controller for my 42030-B model. Need 3 slides, 1 vertical for drive , 1 horizontal for turn and 1 vertical for up and down the dumper. + 1 button on/off for lights.

Each tread pod has it's own motor and a servo for the rear steering(see attached photo). What I would like is to mostly be in a "Tank" style steering and drive but when using the steering servo modulating the tank control. Much like a differential.
The system could be simple with Left side/Right side and steering (3 connections on the Sbrick) or complicated with each motor with it's own connection for 5 connections and 2 Sbricks. Before the Sbricks arrived I was going to try and use a Mindstorms for control. I guess the way to think of this is an old halftrack.
Visuals for the app could be a D pad (X and Y)for the tank control and a side to side slider for the steering. less
Who have hardware gamepad(s) that works with Android/WP/iOS officialy?
I dont wanna copy the sbrick, but I want to find programable device that have otuts ad inputs.
Then I can use a tachometer connected to the input. With a gearbox it will be possible to make a automatic transmission. If the axle is spinning faster than 10 rpm...change from gear 1 to 2. When it reaches 20 rpm....change to gear 3 and so on.
A couple of questions.
Is it based on a Arduino (or something else) or is it made from scratch?
Do anyone have any idea of what I can use.
If this idea works, I will not be selling it. Its just for personal use :)
Is there free apps allready made to arduino, that I can download to android/iOS?
I know it might be a little early, but how about making 'educational' sets. So for example a 10-brick set and a 25-brick set. I've been to a 'maker-fest' for small kids last weekend, based on Arduino starter-kits and I have to say: given the opportunity to work on programming, kids are FAST in learning. They even corrected the teacher later during the day. I can see this Brick give a nice opportunity for this as well. Like Wedo (but better :) )
I'm sorry for awnser it - I can't remember if you already said it - but... Sbrick's app is avaiable NOW? Thank you! :)
Hmm.. are we supposed to get a mail with a tracking number for the volvo loader shipping?, haven't got mine yet if so ....
Forgot that even if I can't have a suitable Android demo, you certainly will be able to demo with your Python scripts and EV3 Dev. :)
I just did a firmware update on one of my SBricks and now it is semi-bricked. -- specifically my iPhone 6+ (iOS 8.1.2) will connect to the brick, but the SBrick does not respone to the LED on/off command, nor does the port tester work. When I turn power on to the SBrick, the status LED is lit constantly.
I can connect to and correctly operate a second SBrick on which I have not a firmware update.
Got my hardware in the mail today, but since we're an Apple-free household, I guess I'll be waiting for the software to catch up. ...Gives me time to keep working on my MOC.
The purpose of this post is to illustrate a conceptual design for a SBrick train control profile. The concept is presented as a storyboard in two different forms:
1) a video, which runs through each of the functions of the interface and2) an interactive ...
