I have a question.....what does VALUE config under Slider setup?....the default values for minimum and maximum are -1 and 1......but if i change to -0.5 and 0.5 all behaves the same.

It allows you to fine tune these parameters, but the effect can be various, depends on the motor type. I'm just curious, which app do you use?

Need light controls realy bad ;-) Any plan when it will be available?
Thanks

This is an advanced way to fix that. Change the image of a button to these photos.
Profile Designer 1.9.6beta is out.
Now, you have guidelines, aligned to the controls:
- You can turn it off, and on globaly in the sidebar.
- If you select any control, the guides shows on the other controls side, and a middle points (based on the guide settings).
- While moving the controls, they are going to snap to the guides, and to the workspace area edges (thanks for the suggestion, Fernando!).
- If you click on the background, the guidlines will disappear.

can we put little pictures above the sliders to show us what the slider is for

This feature is not yet available, but we are waiting for it soon.
Although you can always edit your own background with Photoshop, GIMP or similar. Import and than add the controls on top. ;)
What if you design a short height slider (e.g. width=140 and height=200)?
Would it work for you?
Although it goes all the way from -1 to +1, it would do it quite fast. :)

After that, I tried with buttons, but I could not set 2 buttons for the same channel, and buttons are always a push-and-release to turn them on/off, the option "Auto reset" makes no sense for them from my experience :(

I'm not alone :)
I tried the same approach: progressive acceleration makes sense for crawlers, but for fast cars, all we need is a basic +1/0/-1 control.
The same layout would be useful for gearbox control (fast/slow, or upper/lower gear switch).
It could be a new feature :
- Temporary buttons (On/Off)
- A button could be -1 or +1
- Assign two buttons to the same channel
What I use today for a 2-Speed gearbox is a small slider, but it's not always easy to catch on the fly.
Hey,
I'm trying to create a profile where I can set up a layout where I could just turn motors to -1/0/1 (on, off, reverse) while pressing a control item.
At first I tried with a slider, but I can not set the slider step size, so it is just not good.
After that, I tried with buttons, but I could not set 2 buttons for the same channel, and buttons are always a push-and-release to turn them on/off, the option "Auto reset" makes no sense for them from my experience :(
So, what could I do?

For the rest, the SBrick works wunderful.

The points and values are not visible on the Profile Designer at the moment, meanwhile, their paramters are saved into the control's settings. We are going to visualize these settings in the future.
Profile Designer 1.9.4beta is out.
Bugfix:
- Now you can change the manual setting paramters by the little arrows in the input field (however, they are worked by the keyboard arrows also :) )
Sadly, we're stopped supporting Firefox. We decided this after seeing the poor javascript performance with (actualy not) too much canvas element. As long as we are in Beta stage, we want to focus on features, and performance optimizations. After we're going to final 1.0, we are going to investigate the options to open the PD for other browsers. At the meantime the PD will work with Chrome and Safari.
Next update:
The alignment guides are coming.

Meawhile I found this odd effect just happens when you play with the 'size width' of the joystick controls. This specifically is working fine with 'size height' and 'orientation degree'.
The effect becomes worse (more odd layers) as you keep changing the width (more noticeable if joystick is rotated to a certain extent).

Hi Zsolt,
I just provided links to the images in the original pos, which hopefully are accessible to everyone. It is quicker and easier for me at this point.
Don't really understand why the embeded images are not showing up to you, but nevermind. :)
Hope these links work for you. Copy the whole link and paste in your browser. Somehow the forum is not forming the hyperlink correctly.
Best!

Thank you! Wow! The second one looks like really-really strange... :)

I've tested it and it is now possible to handle coordinates via manual settings. :)
I must admit I didn't realize about the third tab in first place, but after coming back to this forum I understood how it works.
Althoguh I found some new problems. ;)
1) Realize from the image below, there is a button instance, although it does not appear in the layers list.
2) Altough other parameters/controls seem to work fine, changing the joystick dimensions causes a total interface collapse (see image below). After this point it is not possible to save the profile anymore. It enters into an endless loop. We can return to the home screen, but loosing the changes made.
Have a good bug fixing! ;)

Can you repost these images via imgur or cloudApp? The links are borken. :(
